The 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to take place on November 28, featuring 22 big balloons, 34 floats, and 7 wheeled “balloonicles.” The parade will be hosted by NBC’s “TODAY” show stars Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker. The parade will start at West 77th Street & Central Park West and end at Macy’s Herald Square flagship store. Spectators are advised to arrive early to secure the best viewing spots along the 2.5-mile route.
The parade can be watched on NBC and Peacock, with performances by stars like Jennifer Hudson, Lea Salonga, and T-Pain. New balloons, floats, and balloonicles, including a Spider-Man balloon inspired by artist John Romita Sr., will make their debut this year. The event will also feature performances by Broadway actors and appearances by the New York Liberty basketball team and Santa Claus.
To see the balloons being prepared for flight, the public can visit the Upper West Side on Wednesday before the parade. This behind-the-scenes event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., allowing visitors to see the balloons being inflated and prepared for the Thanksgiving Day festivities.
