Wisconsin adds Louisiana Tech transfer David Blay to bolster defensive line. Blay joins Cazeem Moore and Mason Reiger as recent defensive line transfer offers. Several other players have also received offers from Wisconsin since the portal opened on Dec. 9. Blay, a 6-foot-4, 303-pound redshirt junior, had a strong season with Louisiana Tech in 2024, recording 46 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, and 6.5 sacks. His standout performance came against Arkansas, where he had two tackles for loss and a sack. Wisconsin’s need for defensive playmakers is evident, with top defensive tackles departing in 2025. Blay, Moore, and Reiger are among the first defensive line players to receive offers from Wisconsin in the portal. The team is looking to address significant needs along the defensive line during the current offseason portal period.
