The family of 30-year-old Hawaii resident Hannah Kobayashi is searching for her in Los Angeles after she missed a connecting flight, sent alarming texts about feeling scared and someone trying to steal her money and identity, and then went silent. Hannah had arrived in Los Angeles on Nov. 8 en route to New York City but missed her flight due to a short window to get to its departure terminal.
She stayed in Los Angeles, went sightseeing at The Grove shopping center, and sent concerning texts to loved ones before going silent. Family members reported her missing to LAPD and FBI, and launched a search effort in Los Angeles. Security footage shows her in downtown Los Angeles with someone raising concerns about her well-being.
Hannah’s family stressed that she does not suffer from mental illness and is not on medication. Her father, Ryan Kobayashi, expressed concern about the situation, despite not having any leads. The family is focusing their search efforts on the area where she was last seen in Los Angeles.
The family shared concerns about her well-being, especially after previous cases like that of Elsa Lam, where a missing person ended up tragically deceased. Authorities are investigating the case, and the family is looking for any information or leads that could help locate Hannah.
