A judge granted a protective order to political writer Olivia Nuzzi, who was recently put on leave from New York Magazine due to her ties to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Nuzzi accused her ex-fiancé, Ryan Lizza, a political journalist with Politico, of harassing and blackmailing her. The judge granted Nuzzi’s request for Lizza to stay away from her until an October hearing. Nuzzi alleged that Lizza hacked her devices, threatened violence, and attempted to destroy her reputation. The accusations against Lizza were made in response to their past relationship and a joint book deal between them. Lizza denied the allegations and stated that Nuzzi was diverting attention from her own issues by making false accusations. Kennedy, known for his anti-vaccine advocacy and conspiracy theories, endorsed Donald Trump after dropping out of the presidential race. Nuzzi had previously written about Kennedy’s campaign in a piece titled “The Mind-Bending Politics of RFK Jr.’s Spoiler Campaign.” Both Lizza and Nuzzi could not be immediately reached for comment.
