Iontra Technology: A Game-Changer in Eliminating 100 Million Tons of CO₂ Emissions—No Battery Modifications Needed!

Iontra Technology to Cut 100M Tons of CO₂ Emissions Without Battery Modifications

CENTENNIAL, Colo., June 26, 2025 – Iontra Inc., a pioneer in advanced battery charging technology, has unveiled a groundbreaking report from New Energy Nexus revealing its proprietary charging technology could reduce over 100 million tons of CO₂ emissions in the next decade. This innovative solution promises substantial climate benefits across consumer electronics, electric mobility, and industrial applications, all without necessitating major hardware changes or infrastructure upgrades.

Iontra’s technology enhances battery longevity, allowing devices to function more efficiently while minimizing the need for battery production. The assessment shows that, by extending battery cycle life, Iontra’s platform significantly decreases the number of batteries manufactured and discarded. For example, conventional lithium-ion batteries in consumer electronics like smartphones typically last 500–750 charge cycles. With Iontra’s technology, this lifespan can extend to 750–1500 cycles, reducing the frequency of replacements and resulting in fewer devices being produced.

Medium-sized devices such as power tools and e-bikes also benefit, with cycle life improving from 400–800 cycles to an estimated 600–1600 cycles. Large-format batteries, such as those in electric vehicles, can experience up to a twofold increase in cycle life.

The report anticipates that Iontra-enabled technology will lead to a reduction of 5.8 million tons of CO₂ emissions by 2029, and as demand for these devices grows, cumulative savings could reach 108 million tons by 2035. This impact is comparable to removing 23 million cars from the road or offsetting emissions from 12.4 million U.S. households annually.

Jeff Granato, CEO of Iontra, emphasized, "Our technology doesn’t just enhance performance; it directly supports global climate goals." As demand for sustainable solutions increases, Iontra remains committed to leading the charge toward a greener future.
