West Allis, Wis. – The Wisconsin State Fair Announces Finalists for The Sporkies and Drinkies Awards
As the Wisconsin State Fair approaches, excitement is bubbling over with the announcement of this year’s finalists for The Sporkies and Drinkies awards. Eight culinary delights have made the cut from 35 entries to vie for the coveted Golden Spork.
This year’s Sporkies finalists include innovative creations such as the A Hunk A Hunk Elvis Donut Ice Cream Sandwich, featuring a Grebe’s Bismark donut filled with Fat Elvis Ice Cream, and the Blueberry Breakfast Bratwurst, a tasty Usinger’s brat wrapped in pancake and topped with bourbon bacon jam. Other contenders are the Brat Rangoon, Gochujang Smashburger, Mexican Street Corn Pizza, Pretzaroni Pizza Brat, S’mores Churro Fries, and the Ube Butter Banana French Toast Lumpia.
On the drink side, four finalists have been selected. They include the colorful Carnival Cooler, the decadent Dirty Pancakes, the luxurious Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie, and the sparkling Purple Rain Refresher.
A panel of celebrity judges will taste these offerings on July 29, determining the winners. Fairgoers can sample these finalists from July 31 to August 10 during the beloved event.
