March for Life Wisconsin Postpones Annual Event Amid Anticipated Protests
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The March for Life Wisconsin has announced the postponement of its annual demonstration scheduled for Saturday, citing safety concerns due to expected large-scale protests in downtown Madison. Organized by Indivisible Dane County, these protests are anticipated to draw around 15,000 participants, reacting to what they describe as the "increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration."
In a statement on Facebook, March for Life Wisconsin expressed concerns about potential street closures around the Capitol, which could hinder movement and pose risks to attendees, particularly families with children. The event typically draws support from various anti-abortion organizations, including Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Right to Life.
The March for Life Wisconsin has now been rescheduled for July 26, 2025. Organizers are committed to ensuring a safe environment for all participants and appreciate the understanding of their supporters amid these changes.
