Team Shottle Bop Claims Third Consecutive Wisconsin Guts Frisbee Title

NEENAH, Wis. — Team Shottle Bop from Hancock emerged victorious at the 2025 Wisconsin Guts Frisbee Championship, held from June 7-8 in Neenah, achieving a remarkable three-peat. The squad, comprised of players William Blau, Kyle Suvanto, Gabe Coppo, Justin Dudenas, Alex Nettell, and Carter Nettell, displayed exceptional skill and tenacity throughout the tournament.

The event saw a record 13 teams competing, highlighting the growth of the sport in the region. After dominating Day 1 and entering Day 2 as the No. 4 seed, Shottle Bop faced an early setback, losing to UP Hardwoods (Marquette) in bracket play and falling to the losers bracket. Undeterred, they rallied to win three consecutive elimination matches against Monte Carlo (Hancock), Colden’s Kids (Appleton), and Wolf Pack (Marquette) to secure a spot in the finals.

In the championship showdown, Shottle Bop faced UP Hardwoods again, triumphing in a gripping best two-out-of-three series. With this victory, the team solidified its status as a powerhouse in the Guts Frisbee community.

Looking ahead, the next Guts Tournament will take place on July 12-13 at Hancock Driving Park, kicking off at 11 a.m. Entry is free, with concessions and merchandise available for attendees.
