Tragic Three-Vehicle Crash Claims One Life in Polk County, Wisconsin
MILLTOWN, WI – A tragic accident on Friday afternoon resulted in the death of one individual following a three-vehicle collision on Highway 35. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received reports of the crash around 3:24 p.m., just south of 210th Avenue South.
Witnesses indicated that northbound traffic had slowed due to wildlife crossing the highway. A truck swerved to avoid a rear-end collision, subsequently hitting a vehicle in front before crashing into a southbound SUV. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene; the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The truck driver incurred non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the rear-ended vehicle sustained minor injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
