CII Conference Explores the Future of AI and Tech in Punjab

Chandigarh, [Date] – The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) convened industry leaders, visionaries, and technology experts on Friday at its Northern Region Headquarters in Chandigarh for a pivotal conference aimed at the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Web3, and emerging enterprise technologies.

The conference featured dynamic panel discussions and networking opportunities, focusing on the role of small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups in establishing Punjab as a future-ready IT hub. The inaugural panel discussion, titled "Future of AI, Web3, and Enterprise Tech and Way Forward," was moderated by Abhinav Bansal, Director – AI and Data at Deloitte. Esteemed panellists included Harjeet Gulati of Millipixels Interactive and Komal Sharma Talwar from TT Consultants, who examined the ethical and strategic implications of advances in AI and decentralised technologies.

In a standout session, Conference Chairman Sarvjeet Singh Virk held an enlightening discussion with Rishi Mohan Bhatnagar, Cofounder and Global CTO of AA2IT India Pvt Ltd, highlighting the transformative effects of generative AI on industry operations.

Another significant session, "Maximizing SME and Startup Potential Through Cutting-Edge Tech," was led by Sanjiv Sethi of Gilard Electronics and included insights from leaders at SAP India and AWS.

The day’s events culminated in a discussion on “Positioning Punjab as India’s Next IT and Technology Hub,” featuring influential speakers such as Vivek Kapoor and Amit Jain. Administrative Secretary Kamal Kishor Yadav emphasized Punjab’s strong capabilities in IT, noting the importance of targeted policy and industry engagement to cultivate a robust digital ecosystem.

As the conference wrapped up, participants expressed optimism about Punjab’s potential to rapidly advance as a technology powerhouse in India.
