In the second half, the contest remained tightly contested. With just under 14 minutes left, senior Payton Sandfort’s free throws extended Iowa’s lead to 50-46, but the tide soon turned. Over the final eight minutes, Iowa struggled offensively, netting only seven points, allowing Wisconsin to regain control. The Badgers capitalized on late free throws to maintain their lead.

Pryce Sandfort finished as Iowa’s top scorer with 14 points, supplemented by Josh Dix with 13 points, and Drew Thelwell contributing 11 points. Payton Sandfort led on the boards with eight rebounds. Iowa shot 24-of-63 (38.1%) overall and struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 8-of-25 (32%).
