Wisconsin Football Extends Offer to Top 2027 Lineman Maxwell Hiller
Wisconsin’s football program has officially extended an offer to Maxwell Hiller, an offensive lineman from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, for the 2027 recruiting class. Hiller stands out among future prospects with a stellar offer sheet that includes heavyweight programs such as Alabama, Penn State, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio State. Currently rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Hiller ranks No. 34 nationally, No. 3 among interior offensive linemen, and is the second-best recruit from Pennsylvania. He’s on the cusp of achieving a five-star rating, increasing his allure for major college football programs.
As the recruiting cycle progresses, On3’s prediction machine lists Penn State as the early frontrunner for Hiller’s commitment at 90%, followed by Maryland (4.1%) and South Carolina (1.4%). Wisconsin hopes to replicate its successful recruitment of five-star offensive tackle Nolan Rucci from the class of 2021, who chose the Badgers over local rival Penn State, among others.
Currently, Wisconsin has not yet secured a commitment in the class of 2027 and is still building its class of 2026, having only six players committed so far. Although the 2027 cycle is still in its infancy, Hiller has emerged as a significant prospect on Wisconsin’s radar.
With Hiller’s impressive credentials, he will be a name to follow closely in the coming months as Wisconsin aims to strengthen its recruiting efforts and continue attracting top-tier talent.
