Timber Rattlers Fall to Peoria Chiefs in 8-4 Defeat
PEORIA, IL – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers succumbed to the Peoria Chiefs 8-4 at Dozer Park on Friday night, allowing Peoria to pull away from a tied game. Chiefs’ Bryce Madron shined with a 3-for-4 performance, scoring three runs and igniting multiple rallies.
The game began competitively, with both teams trading runs in the second inning. Tayden Hall’s two-out triple and Yhoswar Garcia’s subsequent single gave Wisconsin an early edge. However, Peoria quickly tied the game on Brayden Jobert’s hit, allowing Michael Curialle to score.
In the third inning, Madron kick-started the scoring for Peoria, leading to a 3-2 advantage thanks to Joshua Baez’s timely single. After Wisconsin evened the score in the fifth, Peoria responded with a three-run rally in the seventh, further fueled by Madron’s hitting prowess.
Despite a late push by the Rattlers, including a two-run double from Matt Wood, Peoria added one last run, highlighting their strong performance throughout the game. Wisconsin’s Tyson Hardin took the loss, allowing nine hits and four runs over six innings.
The series resumes Saturday night, with a scheduled 7:05 PM start at Dozer Park.
