GiGi’s Playhouse Madison Receives $100,000 Boost from Alter Metal Recycling
MADISON, Wis. — GiGi’s Playhouse Madison has received substantial support from Alter Metal Recycling’s Southern Wisconsin Region, totaling over $100,000 to enhance programming for individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities. The funding was generated through Alter’s ‘Go Green for the Green’ campaign, which raised more than $54,000 in April. The amount was subsequently matched dollar-for-dollar by the company.
Kelly Antonson, Executive Director of GiGi’s Playhouse Madison, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its significance for the organization. “We are blown away by Alter Metal’s generosity,” she stated. “These funds will ensure we can continue providing free, purposeful programming to over 400 families in the greater Madison area and positively affect thousands of people in our community. For a small nonprofit like ours, this is a game-changing gift.”
GiGi’s Playhouse is part of a national network that offers free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, ensuring that every dollar raised directly supports these initiatives. A check presentation is scheduled for May 14 at 11 a.m. at GiGi’s Playhouse, celebrating this impactful partnership.
