Press Release: Fourth Annual Federal Technology Symposium Set for September
The fourth annual Federal Technology Symposium (FTS), co-hosted by U.S. Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd, Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), the North Carolina Military Business Center, and the Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH), will take place on September 9-10 at the Tony Rand Student Center in Fayetteville.
This year’s symposium will focus on the advanced technology needs of major military commands in North Carolina, as well as the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). With the aim of fostering dialogue and partnerships among industry, academia, and government, the event seeks to address the future technological requirements for America’s warfighters and security agencies.
Kicking off with a pressing tactical scenario, the symposium will feature a series of in-depth roundtable discussions involving thought leaders who will tackle urgent defense and homeland security challenges. Topics will include emerging technologies, collaborative innovation, and the future of warfare amidst increasing global threats. Additionally, demonstrations of dual-use advanced technologies that can meet rapidly evolving requirements will be presented.
A highlight of the symposium will be the Federal Technology Innovations Scouting Showcase, where four select businesses will showcase their cutting-edge technologies to government representatives. Each business will have 10 minutes for presentations, followed by a Q&A session designed to connect innovative solutions with federal technology needs.
Innovators are encouraged to submit quad charts by July 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST to participate in this crucial opportunity to engage with stakeholders in the defense sector. For templates and further information, please refer to the official FTS website. This event promises to bridge the gap between innovation and the pressing needs of federal agencies.
