The WNA Foundation, which recognizes newspaper professionals with Better Newspaper Contest awards each year, is calling for volunteers to help judge the Colorado Press Association’s annual newspaper contest. The tradition of recognizing excellence in journalism is made possible through reciprocal judging partnerships with other newspaper associations.
Volunteers are crucial to the success of these contests, as without them, the WNAF would not be able to hold its annual awards. Judges will be provided with assignments starting next week, with a deadline set for May 30th. All judging will be conducted online, making it easy and convenient for volunteers to participate.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up today to be a judge for the contest. Additionally, the WNA is encouraging individuals to forward the email to colleagues and co-workers who may also be interested in judging. This is a great opportunity for newspaper professionals to give back to the industry and support their peers in their journalistic endeavors.
