William Garcia, current chair of the La Crosse County Democratic Party, is running for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin chair on the platform of “Grow – Persist – Resist.” He believes in supporting and enhancing local parties, as he sees a need to move away from a top-down approach. Garcia has also held roles in the 3rd Congressional District Democratic Party and the DPW Latino Caucus. He is a candidate to potentially take over for Ben Wikler, who he calls the best state chair in the country.
During his appearance on La Crosse Talk, Garcia discussed the Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia situation, where the Trump administration accidentally deported the Maryland father to an El Salvador prison. The show also took a break from politics to discuss movies, with Garcia sharing his insights on the new Tron trailer.
