In a hard-fought game, the Minnesota Golden Gophers softball team fell to the Wisconsin Badgers 9-6 on Saturday. Despite a three-run homer by Taylor Krapf and Nani Valencia picking up her 100th career hit, the Golden Gophers were unable to secure the win. Junior Syndey Schwartz took the loss for Minnesota, while standout performances came from Krapf and Breezy Burnett at the plate.

After trailing early, Minnesota fought back to tie the game at 3-3 in the sixth inning. However, Wisconsin pulled ahead to secure the victory, with senior Emmy Wells leading the Badgers offensively. The Gophers managed to rally in the seventh inning, scoring three runs, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Looking ahead, the Gophers will have a chance to redeem themselves tomorrow against the Badgers at Goodman Diamond. Fans can stay updated on Gopher Softball by visiting GopherSports.com and following the team on social media.
