A 17-year-old high school student from Wisconsin has been charged with killing his parents as part of a plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump, according to the FBI. Nikita Casap is accused of shooting his mother and stepfather to death at their home in February. Court documents reveal that the suspect had links to a neo-Nazi group and expressed white supremacist beliefs. He allegedly detailed his plans to kill Trump in order to overthrow the government. Authorities also found evidence that he was communicating with individuals in Russia about his plans. The teenager was arrested in Kansas driving his stepfather’s car, which contained weapons, jewelry, and cash. Investigators believe the double murder was an attempt to fund his plan to carry out the attack. The suspect is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide and several other felony counts. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court in May.
