High winds and sandstorms in Beijing led to the cancellation of hundreds of flights and closure of public parks on Saturday. The Universal Studios theme park in Beijing, along with historic sites such as the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven, were closed due to the weather. Football matches and outdoor events were also suspended to ensure public safety.
