Now accepting applications for the Wisconsin DNR’s Wolf Advisory Committee

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking applicants to serve on the Wolf Advisory Committee (WAC) to help implement the state’s Wolf Management Plan. Duties of committee members include providing input on policies, harvest quotas, and other wolf management activities. The WAC will serve as a forum for issues related to wolves and will include representatives from government agencies, the Wisconsin Conservation Congress, Wisconsin’s Ojibwe tribes, and various stakeholders. Applications for the ten stakeholder seats are open until May 4th, with seats divided among categories such as hunting and trapping, agricultural and ranching, environmental, conservation science and education, and an at-large, unaffiliated category. More information and the application can be found on the DNR’s Wolves in Wisconsin webpage. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply for a chance to contribute to wolf management in the state.
