Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF) recently acquired Anderson Global, an aluminum foundry tooling manufacturer located in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. With this acquisition, WAF aims to expand its capabilities in tooling, casting, and machining across various industrial sectors. Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary of WAF, and all 80 employees will be retained.
Established over 40 years ago by John and Betsy McIntyre, Anderson Global specializes in producing tooling for industries such as automotive, military, aerospace, agriculture, and beverage equipment. The company’s 100,000-square-foot facility in Muskegon Heights offers a wide range of services including mold design and manufacturing, process and core blowing simulation, and tool maintenance.
WAF, a family-owned company founded in 1909, produces aluminum- and copper-based alloy castings as well as machining services for iron- and non-iron-based castings. The company serves industries such as marine, automotive, oil and gas, agriculture, and medical. The acquisition of Anderson Global aligns with WAF’s goal of supporting the resurgence of American manufacturing through the delivery of high-quality tooling.
