Torepe-Ormsby Achieves School Record at Wisconsin Badgers


The Wisconsin men’s swim team had a successful second day at the NCAA Championships, finishing in tenth place in the 200 freestyle relay. Taiko Torepe-Ormsby set a school record in the event with a time of 18.75. Yoav Romano finished 24th in the 500 freestyle, while Chris Morris finished 27th in the 200 IM and 20th in the 50 freestyle. The team’s performance earned them an All-American honorable mention.

As competition resumes on Friday, the team is gearing up for the 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and the 400 medley relay. In team scores through Day 3, Texas is leading with 190 points, followed by California and Indiana.

The Wisconsin men’s swim team continues to showcase their talent and determination at the NCAA Championships, with high hopes for more success in the remaining events.
