Weather Update for Southeast Wisconsin: Monitoring Sunday’s Rain and Snow Conditions

Storm Team 4 is keeping a close eye on an approaching low-pressure system that will bring strong winds and a rain/snow mix to Wisconsin. A warm front lifting out of SW Wisconsin is producing a few sprinkles, with main rain showers expected to arrive later in SE Wisconsin. Cold air aloft and near the surface could bring a snow mix north of Milwaukee, potentially leading to slushy accumulations of 1-3 inches towards Fond du Lac and Sheboygan. Overall, 0.5-0.75 inches of rainfall is expected, with rain showers persisting through the early evening before wrapping up after 9 p.m. Gusty westerly winds are also expected tonight, reaching up to 40 mph.

Monday may bring a few flurries but with low impact on travel, while gusty winds continue and temperatures reach the mid-40s. The rest of the week is forecasted to have highs in the 40s, with a chance of rain next weekend as temperatures climb towards 60 degrees.
