Brian Simpson preps for La Crosse’s 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day .01K event

The 20th Annual St. Patty’s Day .01K down Pearl Street, known as the world’s shortest race at 32.8 feet, is set to take place this Saturday. Brian Simpson, host of Rock Mornings, joined in to preview the event on La Crosse Talk, which airs weekdays from 6-8 a.m. The race, organized by the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, has seen participants engage in various wacky antics in the past.

Proceeds from the event support the Hunger Task Force, which is the only food bank serving a large region between Madison, Eau Claire, and Rochester. The organization operates 120 meal sites, food pantries, youth programs, and backpack programs in the region. Registration for the race is open online or can be done starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Brother’s Bar on Pearl Street, with the race kicking off at 6 p.m.

The event promises to be a fun and light-hearted way to support a good cause while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Participants can look forward to a unique and entertaining experience, all while contributing to the fight against hunger in the community. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a difference and have a great time with friends and family.
