A massive brush fire in Brookfield, Wisconsin has been successfully extinguished after breaking out on Sunday afternoon. The fire, which started in a marsh area near a car dealership, quickly spread and led to the evacuation of nearby homes as a precaution. The Brookfield Fire Department received multiple calls about the fire around 1:39 p.m. and faced challenges accessing certain areas in the marsh due to the spread of embers by the wind. Despite these challenges, the fire was brought under control by 5 p.m. and completely extinguished by 6:15 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Residents in the area have expressed gratitude for the quick response and efforts of the fire department in containing the blaze.
