Eight New Members Inducted Into Athletics Hall Of Fame


The UW-Oshkosh Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducting eight new members on October 5 at the Culver Family Welcome Center on the UW-Oshkosh campus. Among the inductees are former students Jack Borski, Christy Cazzola, Jack Friess, Nazar Kulchytskyy, Tricia (Haralson) Rotering, Kristin (Steckmesser) Stanley, and Jacque (Ray) Strook, as well as former coach Terry Barth. The event, which is open to the public, will include a social, brunch, and program.

Terry Barth, the most successful head coach in UW-Oshkosh men’s wrestling history, will be honored for his achievements. In his time at UW-Oshkosh, Barth coached student-athletes to many accolades, including All-America honors, conference titles, and championships. Throughout the years, Barth mentored several standout wrestlers, including Rick Gruber, Duane Fischer, and Jeff Matczak, who all went on to achieve great success under his coaching.

Additionally, other inductees like Jack Borski, Christy Cazzola, Jack Friess, Nazar Kulchytskyy, Tricia (Haralson) Rotering, Kristin (Steckmesser) Stanley, and Jacque (Ray) Strook will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the UW-Oshkosh athletics program. These individuals have left a lasting impact on the university through their athletic achievements and dedication to their sport.
