The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) is set to kick off its 42nd season of Concerts on the Square, with performances happening every Wednesday from June 25 to July 30, 2025. The free concerts, held at the King Street corner of Capitol Square, are open to the public and promise a mix of classical and contemporary music. Joe Loehnis, CEO of the WCO, expressed his excitement about returning to Capitol Square and emphasized the community-building aspect of the concerts. Music Director Andrew Sewell, in his 26th season, shared insights into the concert programming, emphasizing the journey through the six-week season. Highlights include performances by Radiance, soprano Angela Brown, and Jeans ‘n Classics, as well as a finale featuring pianist Sylvia Jiang and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. Limited reserved seating will be available for those with accessibility needs, with blankets allowed to be placed from 3 p.m. onwards.
