The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is currently seeking public input for the development of a strategic plan for managing the state’s wildlife species and habitat. The plan aims to prioritize the Wildlife Management Program’s efforts to maximize the use of staff time, materials, and financial resources. Individuals can provide input by visiting the DNR’s website and filling out the input form, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and all responses will remain anonymous. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 28. The DNR has already gathered feedback from staff and is now engaging with partner groups for further input. Those interested in staying updated on the planning process can sign up for email updates on the website as well.
