Milwaukee swimming & diving teams had a successful showing at the Wisconsin First Chance Meet, with the women earning 13 top-five finishes and the men adding six. Brielle Laube and Sasha Gesner stood out in the 100 butterfly, with Laube taking first and Gesner second. Elena Zippel and Bella Sponseller secured second and third in the 100 breaststroke, while Kylee Radigan and Kevin Soltys had strong performances in the 100 backstroke. Looking ahead to the Horizon League Championships, head coach Kyle Clements expressed optimism based on the team’s performance at the meet. Milwaukee will now prepare for the championships in Indianapolis from Feb. 19-22. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+. With strong performances from the Panther swimmers and divers, the team is in good shape heading into the championship meet.
