Man arrested for suspected impersonation of a Border Patrol agent

Hank Glembin, a 34-year-old man from New Berlin, Wisconsin, has been charged with identity theft and impersonating a peace officer after claiming to be a U.S. Border Patrol agent on two separate occasions in January. Glembin was caught by police wearing a fake Border Patrol uniform and carrying fraudulent equipment, including a gun and handcuffs. Despite showing a fake ID card, it was determined that Glembin was not actually a federal agent. He allegedly admitted to approaching officers while posing as a Border Patrol agent and stated his desire to pursue a career within the agency. Glembin is scheduled for a court hearing on February 13 and was issued a $2,000 signature bond. The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office has not yet issued a response to the charges. This incident serves as a reminder of the serious consequences of identity theft and impersonation of law enforcement officials.
