Wisconsin police arrest mother for filing false kidnapping report

A 37-year-old woman named Princess Ilunga was arrested in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, for falsely reporting her child was in a stolen vehicle. The arrest was made by the Wisconsin State Patrol during a routine traffic stop in which Ilunga was found to have seven children in her vehicle. The incident stemmed from a false report made by Ilunga to the Rock Island Police that her car had been stolen with her 4-year-old child, Blessing Aoci, inside. After a nine-hour search, the child was found safe at home, leading to the discovery that Ilunga had hidden the child during the search. The children in Ilunga’s vehicle were temporarily placed in the care of the Lake Mills Police Department until their father took custody. Ilunga remains in Jefferson County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois. This incident highlights the serious consequences of filing false police reports and the importance of accurate information in law enforcement investigations.
