Yesterday’s record-breaking warm weather brought a much-needed mid-winter break, but now a low pressure system passing to the south is bringing rain showers and fog to the area. The dense fog advisory will be in effect until 9am, and winds are expected to pick up in the afternoon with some sunshine breaking through as the low pressure moves east. Temperatures will be cooler with highs near 40 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be cooler with highs in the mid 30s and clouds lingering. A clipper system will bring a light wintry mix late Saturday night into Sunday morning, followed by a warm front that will push temperatures close to 50 degrees in the afternoon. However, this warmth will be short-lived as a cold front moves through on Sunday evening.
As we head into next week, expect cooler temperatures closer to average, with a system to watch for Wednesday into Thursday. Stay updated on local news and weather by streaming TMJ4 on your device.
