Duluth Mourns the Loss of Local Resident Thomas ‘Tom’ S. Donaldson
The community of Duluth is saddened by the passing of Thomas ‘Tom’ S. Donaldson, 83, who peacefully passed away on December 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Beehive Memory Care. Tom, a native of Shawano, WI, served in the U.S. Army and had a successful career, retiring as a food inspector from the FDA.
A dedicated member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and Superior Elk’s Lodge, Tom was known for his love of sports, particularly the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. He had a passion for golfing, fishing, and watercolor painting, as well as a generous spirit always willing to lend a helping hand.
Tom is survived by his wife, children, step-children, sister, aunt, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on December 14th. Memorials can be made to the church in Tom’s honor. The community remembers him as a kind, humble man with an infectious smile who will be deeply missed.
