The Migration & Technology Monitor is now accepting applications for its annual Migration and Technology Fellowship Program. The program is open to displaced or exiled journalists who have firsthand experience with migration, aiming to support their contributions to research, storytelling, policy-making, and advocacy related to migration and technology.
Fellows will participate in monthly webinars covering project development, ethical storytelling, public outreach, and more, with guest speakers offering additional insights. They will also present their projects at a public event to expand their professional networks. Each fellow will receive a stipend of US$30,000 for the 12-month program, running from April 2025 to May 2026.
This program is designed to build a collaborative community committed to border and migration justice, with a focus on exploring how technology is utilized in the context of migration. Displaced, migrating, or forcibly occupied journalists and community members are encouraged to apply for this fellowship.
If you are interested in applying, the deadline is December 31st. This is an excellent opportunity for journalists with a passion for migration issues and technology to further their skills, network with like-minded professionals, and make a meaningful impact in the field.
