Tracking Wisconsin Football Transfers: Winter 2024

The University of Wisconsin football team is facing another offseason of transition after missing a bowl game for the first time since 2001. With a 5-7 regular season record, turnover on the roster and coaching staff is expected in the winter months. Several players have already announced their intent to enter the transfer portal, including outside linebacker Leon Lowery Jr. and quarterback Cole LaCrue.

On the recruiting front, the Badgers have been active in building their 2025 class. Standout commitments include Landyn Locke, a rising junior from Texas and brother of current Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke, as well as Remington Moss, a four-star defensive back from Virginia. The team secured commitments from in-state offensive lineman Michael Roeske and linebacker Cooper Catalano.

Highly-rated prospects who recently committed to Wisconsin include Mason Posa, a four-star linebacker, and Hardy Watts, a four-star offensive lineman from Massachusetts. The team also flipped recruits from Big Ten rivals, such as defensive lineman Drayden Pavey from Purdue, tight end Emmett Bork from Michigan State, and outside linebacker Jaylen Williams from Michigan.

Wisconsin’s recruiting success has been evident in the strong commitments from top players, positioning the team well for future seasons. With a renewed focus on building a competitive roster, the Badgers are gearing up for a successful transition period ahead of the 2025 season.
