Badgers defeat Chicago State in dominating 74-53 victory

The No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers continued their unbeaten streak by defeating Chicago State 74-53, with graduate transfer guard John Tonje leading with 22 points. Senior forward Steven Crowl also contributed significantly with nine points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. The Badgers’ strong defense held the Cougars to just 33.9 percent shooting from the field. Wisconsin’s impressive 8-0 start marks their best since the 2013-14 season when they reached the Final Four. They are the first Big Ten team to reach 8 wins this season and have been excelling in 3-point shooting and free throw percentage. Head coach Greg Gard commended the team’s performance, emphasizing their strong ball-sharing and defensive improvements in the second half. The Badgers are now looking ahead to facing Michigan in their upcoming Big Ten Conference game at the Kohl Center on Tuesday.
