Spotlight on Ally Longden, Student-Athlete at UW-Whitewater

UW-Whitewater Senior Ally Longden, a standout in women’s volleyball, was recently featured in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s “Student-Athlete Spotlight” segment. Longden, who hails from Pewaukee, Wis., highlighted her decision to attend UW-Whitewater for its business program and successful athletic tradition. She is also actively involved in the Society of Human Resource Management on campus. Longden shared her favorite Culver’s menu item (Cheescurds) and Flavor of the Day (Chocolate Volcano) along with her off-court interests like shopping with teammates. Her greatest sports moment was beating Oshkosh in the conference tournament last year. Longden’s dream job is to become a Chief Human Resources Officer or VP of HR. She also revealed three things on her bucket list: traveling to all 50 states, visiting Australia, and skiing in the Swiss Alps. Longden described herself as charismatic and shared advice for younger student-athletes to cherish their time on the court. The spotlight segments are part of the WIAC’s initiative to feature student-athletes from its member institutions throughout the 2024-25 academic year. The segments will be posted every Thursday and are presented by Culver’s.
