Diamond Sports Group, the broadcaster behind Bally Sports Wisconsin and similar networks, has announced that it will be changing its name to FanDuel Sports Network starting October 21st. This means that Milwaukee Bucks games will now be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin. The change in branding comes as the online gaming company FanDuel takes over the rights to the channel, which will no longer air Milwaukee Brewers programming.
Despite some changes in team contracts due to bankruptcy proceedings, Diamond will still be airing games for 13 NBA teams, eight NHL teams, and eight MLB teams. FanDuel president Mike Raffensperger believes that this partnership with Diamond will help to solidify the FanDuel brand among sports fans.
Bally Sports originally took over naming rights in Milwaukee in 2021, rebranding the local channel from Fox Sports Wisconsin. The transition to FanDuel Sports Network represents a new chapter in sports broadcasting for the region.
Fans can still expect to find Bucks games in the same places as before, as the company will continue to offer a direct-to-consumer app and broadcast games on satellite and cable. While the name may be changing, the commitment to bringing viewers the best in sports coverage remains the same.
