5 Cool Connections from Wisconsin to Look Out for at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Several talented individuals from Wisconsin will be participating in the 98th edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2024. Among them are high school students selected to march in the Great American Marching Band. Kai Kroening and Navana Terrell from Turner High School in Beloit will be in the front row playing the flute and clarinet respectively. Additionally, Micah Zwiefelhofer and Max Weston from rival high schools in Eau Claire will be playing the trumpet and baritone in the band. David Jacobs from Black River Falls High School will be showcasing his talent on the saxophone.

Furthermore, the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center will feature its “Colossal Wave of Wonder” float in the parade, which first debuted in 2021. Additionally, a group of Wisconsinites including Joyce Phillips, Julie, and Ericka will have the special opportunity to be balloon handlers for the new Spiderman Balloon during the parade. Joyce and Ericka, in particular, have experience as balloonists, adding an extra level of excitement to the event. This diverse group of individuals will proudly represent Wisconsin in this iconic Thanksgiving Day parade.
