The following day, Thursday, December 6th, saw the opening of the annual Christmas festival in Northeast Harbor. The festival included a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, carol singing, and a visit from Santa Claus himself. Families gathered in the town square to enjoy the festivities and kick off the holiday season in style.
Friday, December 7th was a day of giving on the island, with multiple charity events taking place. Local businesses participated in a holiday food drive to support families in need, while volunteers organized a fundraiser for the island’s homeless population.
