The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is showcasing student-athletes from its eight institutions in a weekly “Student-Athlete Spotlight” segment. This week’s spotlight features Zac Johnson, a senior basketball player at UW-River Falls. Johnson chose UW-River Falls for its close connections with coaches and vibrant environment. He enjoys the high level of competition in the WIAC and the support from fans at games. Johnson’s favorite Culver’s menu item is the 4-Piece Chicken Strip Basket, and he enjoys spending time with his teammates playing 2K and watching sports off the court. He looks up to Jesus and advises younger athletes to stay consistent and have faith. Johnson’s dream job is to be a pro basketball player, and on his bucket list is visiting Switzerland and fishing. In addition to basketball, Johnson also has a talent for cooking. Before games, he prays and thanks God for everything. The WIAC Student-Athlete Spotlights are presented by Culver’s and aim to highlight the achievements and personalities of student-athletes in the conference.
