Sean Duffy, a Wisconsin native, has been selected by former President Donald Trump to take over as secretary of transportation. While many may recognize Duffy from his time on reality TV shows and appearances on Fox News, there is much more to his diverse background. From log rolling and speed climbing championships to a career in politics that culminated in a key cabinet role, Duffy’s journey is full of fascinating twists and turns.
Duffy first gained attention as a reality TV star on MTV’s “The Real World: Boston” and “Road Rules: All Stars.” He then transitioned to a successful political career, serving as a district attorney before pulling off an upset victory in Wisconsin’s 7th District congressional race in 2010.
In addition to his TV and political accomplishments, Duffy is also a skilled athlete, winning speed-climbing championships and being named the Badger State Games MVP.
