The Central Wisconsin Conquerors, a new minor-league sports franchise, will be joining the Major Arena Soccer League 2 and playing six home matches at the Greenheck Turner Community Center in Weston. The team will face off against teams from Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri starting in December.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Conquerors is set to take place on Monday at 4 PM, with Wausau Mayor Doug Diny in attendance. Mayor Diny has also been invited to kick off the season on December 14th with a ceremonial first ball kick when the Conquerors host the Minnesota Blizzard.
Season ticket memberships are available starting at $50 for all six home dates, with fans having the option to purchase a customizable Conquerors scarf featuring landmarks from Wausau, Stevens Point, Eau Claire, Marshfield, or Wisconsin Rapids.
This new sports franchise is expected to bring excitement and entertainment to the Central Wisconsin area, providing fans with the opportunity to support a local team in a competitive league. The Conquerors’ home matches will offer a fun and family-friendly atmosphere for spectators of all ages to enjoy.
