University of Wisconsin-Stout to Compete in Isthmus Bowl Against Wheaton College
Madison, Wis. – November 17, 2024 – The University of Wisconsin-Stout football team has officially secured a spot in the Culver’s Isthmus Bowl, set to take place on November 23, at the Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The Blue Devils, with an overall record of 6-4 and a conference record of 4-3, will face Wheaton College (Ill.), who boasts a stronger 8-2 record, including 8-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).
This matchup features the top teams from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and the CCIW that were not selected for the NCAA Division III Championship. The Blue Devils managed to clinch the Isthmus Bowl bid by finishing in a four-way tie for third place in the WIAC alongside fellow competitors UW-Oshkosh, UW-River Falls, and UW-Whitewater, following the conference’s tiebreaking procedures.
Wheaton College’s Thunder concluded their season in second place in the CCIW standings, setting up a promising encounter on the field. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 PM, and fans can expect an exciting showdown between these two competitive teams.
