On “Saturday Night Live,” cast members returned to biting satire by presenting a sketch of a meeting between outgoing President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump at the White House. Biden complained about his dog attacking foreign leaders, while Trump expressed frustration about not being able to return to Mar-a-Lago. Trump also discussed his unconventional cabinet picks, including Elon Musk and Matt Gaetz. Alec Baldwin made a cameo as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who embraced vaccine skepticism. Trump offered Biden a position in his cabinet, but Biden said he’d rather fight Jake Paul. Another sketch featured a mock podcast called “Banger Boyz!” where Trump offers podcast hosts positions in his administration. The “Weekend Update” segment humorously examined Trump’s choices and his plan to fire everyone in six months. The episode was hosted by Charli XCX, who also served as the musical guest. “SNL” airs on NBC, which is a division of NBCUniversal and the parent company of NBC News.
