In October, Three Badgers Claim WCHA Player of the Month Honors

The No. 1 Wisconsin women’s hockey team continues to dominate on the ice, with three players earning WCHA Player of the Month awards for their outstanding performances. Casey O’Brien, Caroline Harvey, and Ava McNaughton were recognized for their contributions to the team’s perfect 10-0-0 start to the season. O’Brien, a forward, led all WCHA players in points with 16, while Harvey, a defender, earned her third WCHA Defender of the Month honors. McNaughton, the goaltender, was named WCHA Goaltender of the Month after recording eight wins and three shutouts in October. The trio’s efforts helped the Badgers outscore their opponents 45-8 in eight games. Fans can catch O’Brien, Harvey, McNaughton, and the rest of the team in action this weekend against St. Cloud State and in upcoming matchups against Ohio State and St. Thomas (MN) in November. The Badgers are looking to continue their winning streak and maintain their position as the top team in the nation.
