Iowa’s Starter Named as Brendan Sullivan for Wisconsin Game

Brendan Sullivan will start at quarterback for the Hawkeyes this Saturday in their matchup against Wisconsin, as per Iowa’s depth chart released this week. This will be Sullivan’s first start since transferring from Northwestern earlier this year. He showed promise in his last game against his former team, going 9-of-14 for 79 yards and scoring a touchdown. Former starter Cade McNamara, who was injured in the last game, is not listed on the depth chart for this upcoming game, but is still on the roster. McNamara has had a solid season so far, with 1,017 passing yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. Redshirt freshman Marco Lainez III is listed as the backup to Sullivan. In his only game appearance last season, Lainez completed 2-of-7 passes for four yards and took six carries for 51 yards. The game is set to kickoff at Kinnick Stadium at 6:30 pm CT.
